ARCHAEOLOGY & PRESERVATION MONTH ACTIVITY PRESENTED BY SANTA CLARA HISTORY MUSEUM

The annual “Birds and Botany” event will take place on Saturday May 5 at the Santa Clara Arboretum entrance at approximately 1600 Lava Cove Drive from 11 am-2 pm in the cactus garden. Follow the trail signs to find botanist Lee Hughes who will be sharing information on the native plants and their uses by ancient peoples and pioneers of this area.

Also, Lael Christensen will have his hunting hawk ”Ella” there to demonstrate her skills and offer information about birds.
There will be a children’s activity table and each child will re-ceive a feather.

This is a free event and the public is welcome.
